NFL | Powered by nfl.comThe NFL is not yet ready to give an update on New Orleans running back Anthony Dixon, according to league sources.NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Friday night that the league is “still” evaluating Dixon’s status for the playoffs, and the league did not confirm that report.
Dixon, who tore his ACL during the 2016 season and had surgery on July 1, has not yet been cleared for full-contact practice, Rapoports reported.
He has yet to participate in any preseason games, though he has been on a limited schedule, according the report.
The Saints have played eight preseason games thus far.
The only other running back on the team who has played in at least one preseason game is backup Mike Tolbert, who is on injured reserve.
Arian Foster, the Saints’ starting running back, has played just one preseason snap.
