The cast and crews of the Animal Kingdom are in a home together, after being in a Disney Parks & Resorts theme park for a while.
Disney announced Wednesday that the cast and staff of the Disney Parks and Resorts Animal Kingdom will be moving to a new, smaller home that will be called the “Disney Animation Studios.”
Disney also confirmed that it is “re-releasing” the original Animal Kingdom from its Animal Kingdom Vacation Club attraction in 2019.
The news comes as Disney is trying to make a comeback to the Animal Park theme park business, which has been hit hard by the departure of the parks biggest attraction, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
The Disney Parks Animal Kingdom has been home to many famous characters from Disney’s animated films such as Mickey Mouse, Buzz Lightyear, Goofy, and Winnie the Pooh.
Disney will also release its own animated feature film in 2019 called “The Jungle Book: The Story of Three Little Pigs.”
