Two men have been treated for minor injuries after being pulled from the Brisbane River in the early hours of Monday morning.
The incident occurred just before 3am on the riverbank in Brisbane’s inner west, with witnesses telling police they saw a man carrying two crocodiles on the water and a man dragging the crocodile behind a car.
Emergency services arrived on the scene shortly after and were unable to revive the two men.
“It’s just a massive, huge, huge crocodile in front of you,” one witness told Brisbane Fire Brigade.
“There’s no way it could be in front, and you’re just in the river and there’s no help coming.”
One man was treated for a minor wound to his hand while the other suffered minor injuries to his head.
No-one else was hurt.
Police are not releasing the identities of the men, but have described them as male and female.
Police believe they are not related to any crocodile attacks or deaths.
