The trial for a Florida man charged with torturing a puppy and a cat to death is set to begin on Friday.
According to a statement from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the case is currently being investigated by the Palm Bay County Sheriff, who is investigating the case and will report its findings to the Florida Attorney General.
The investigation is expected to take about two months.
The charges against Christopher L. Wigdor are the second time he’s been charged with animal cruelty in the past few years.
In February, a jury found him guilty of animal cruelty charges in the death of a 10-week-old Labrador retriever.
The case was initially dismissed, but Wigdors lawyers filed a new complaint in June, claiming that his charges were improper.
